Pirates board tanker and container ship in two attacks on key shipping route
Two vessels have been boarded by pirates in a new attack hot spot off Indonesia.
The attacks on a container ship and a crude tanker came within 24 hours of each other at the weekend, according to Ambrey Analytics.
At 21:00 hours local time on Saturday, a Liberia-flagged box vessel was raided by six individuals while transiting eastbound in the Philip Channel, six nautical miles (11 km) northwest of Pulau Terung.
