Προσθήκη του ot.gr στην GoogleMorningstar DBRS has slightly lowered its growth outlook for the Greek economy, now projecting expansion of 1.8% in both 2026 and 2027, according to the September update of its baseline macroeconomic scenarios.
The ratings agency cut its 2026 forecast by a marginal 0.1 percentage point from its June estimate, while leaving its 2027 projection unchanged.
DBRS noted that Greece remains among Europe’s outperforming economies, alongside the Iberian Peninsula, parts of Central and Eastern Europe, and several Scandinavian countries. By contrast, the continent’s largest economies, including France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom, are expected to post more subdued growth of 0.5% to 1% in 2026, picking up only modestly to 0.7% to 1.2% in 2027.
According to the agency, the global economic outlook is being shaped largely by a “technology race,” as investment in technology, particularly artificial intelligence, along with energy infrastructure and the aerospace and defense sectors, is fueling economic activity.
