An attack in the Strait of Hormuz targeted an LNG tanker managed by the Greek shipping company GasLog chaired by Peter G. Livanos.
The ship manager of the LNG tanker GasLog Shanghai confirmed that an incident occurred on its 82104-dwt (2013-built) vessel on July 31 while exiting the Strait of Hormuz.
“Everyone onboard is safe and accounted for and the vessel is stable,” a company spokesperson said in a statement.
According to a company’s announcement, GasLog LNG Services immediately activated the emergency response plan, notified the relevant authorities, and is assessing the vessel’s condition while prioritizing the safety of its crew.
The statement came hours after the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) issued two separate attack warnings in the Strait of Hormuz.
