Προσθήκη του ot.gr στην GoogleGreek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis presented the new myAGRO digital platform for managing agricultural subsidies, describing its launch as a major milestone for the country’s primary sector.
During the presentation at the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), Mitsotakis said the government’s decision 15 months earlier to integrate the functions of the former Greek Payment Authority for Common Agricultural Policy Aid Schemes (OPEKEPE) into AADE was a “bold and extremely difficult decision” aimed at addressing longstanding problems in the distribution of agricultural and livestock subsidies.
“Today we are pleased to feel justified for this choice,” Mitsotakis said.
The prime minister thanked those involved in completing the process and highlighted that myAGRO is a platform fully owned by the Greek state. He said it uses technology to simplify procedures for farmers while allowing more professionals to assist producers with their applications.
According to Mitsotakis, the platform also offers expanded interoperability capabilities, connecting with Greece’s Land Registry and tax authority data.
