An analysis of thousands of online reviews shows where Greek hotels are winning guests over—and where they are losing them. The latest INSETE Intelligence study on hotel satisfaction for the winter period of Nov. 2025 to March 2026, drawing on ReviewPro data, paints a broadly positive picture: the General Satisfaction Index (GRI) reached 87.3%, up slightly from 87.1% a year earlier, keeping Greece in second place among competing markets, just behind Cyprus.

The real insight, though, lies beneath the headline number—in guests’ own words. The room stands out as both the biggest draw and the biggest complaint. It earned 12,183 positive mentions, more than any other category, driven largely by praise for the view. Staff followed with 9,410 positive mentions, overall hotel image with 9,168, food and dining with 7,461, and breakfast with 7,255.

Yet the room also topped the negative list, with 6,515 mentions. For hoteliers, that means the work doesn’t stop at renovation—daily maintenance, equipment condition, and consistency across rooms are things guests judge directly. The bathroom followed with 3,100 negative mentions, tied to
