Προσθήκη του ot.gr στην GoogleThe decision by global investment firm Millennium Management to establish a presence in Athens is being viewed by the Greek government as a sign of the country’s growing appeal as an investment and financial destination, as Greece seeks to attract international capital and high-skilled financial professionals.
Millennium confirmed the move following meetings between its senior executives and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and National Economy and Finance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis.
Pierrakakis said the company’s decision “confirms the momentum Greece is developing as an investment and financial destination,” adding that he discussed with Millennium President Ajay Nagpal and EMEA CEO Martin Pabari the expansion of the firm’s presence in Greece and opportunities to attract both capital and talent.
“Our aim is for Athens to develop into a strong European hub for investment and international talent,” Pierrakakis said, arguing that strengthening Greece’s position on the global investment map would expand the economy’s ability to generate opportunities and income.
