Greece is emerging as one of Europe’s faster-growing artificial intelligence markets, with the share of businesses using AI tools rising to 47%, from 34% a year earlier, according to the study Unlocking Greece’s AI Potential 2026.

The increase represents an annual growth rate of 38%, compared with 29% across Europe, according to the study by Strand Partners, commissioned by Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The research is based on surveys of 1,000 business executives and 1,000 citizens in Greece. It charts a shift from asking whether companies use AI to examining how they use it and whether they are prepared for emerging technologies such as agentic AI, physical AI and advanced robotics.

AI becomes a strategic priority

The growing adoption of AI is accompanied by a change in how businesses view the technology.

Some 63% of businesses say AI is a top or high priority, while 72% consider it a vital or important factor in their overall business strategy.
