CyberLogitec wins TOS contract for Incheon’s first fully automated terminal
CyberLogitec has secured a contract to supply its Terminal Operating System (TOS) for the Phase 1-2 automated container terminal at Incheon New Port in South Korea.
The company signed the agreement with Incheon Global Container Terminal (IGCT), which will operate the new facility.
Targeted for commercial opening in 2028, the project will create the first fully automated container terminal at Incheon Port.
OPUS Terminal to manage automated operations
CyberLogitec will deploy its OPUS Terminal software as the integrated digital platform for the facility.
The TOS will manage berth, vessel, yard and gate operations through a single system.
It will also connect with automated equipment control systems. This will support operational planning and terminal activities using real-time data.
The terminal will use several types of automated equipment, including Double-Trolley Quayside Container Cranes (DTQC), Automated Rail-Mounted Gantry Cranes (ARMGC) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV).
Automation will cover processes across the berth, yard and gate areas.
First hybrid terminal layout in South Korea
According to CyberLogitec, Incheon New Port Phase 1-2 will also become the first container terminal in South Korea to adopt a hybrid layout structure.
The combination of the new layout, automated equipment and integrated TOS is designed to improve terminal productivity and operational efficiency.
IGCT is a joint venture involving Hanjin Logistics, Sun Kwang, E1, KMTC and HMM, with equity participation from the Incheon Port Authority.
CyberLogitec expands smart port portfolio
CyberLogitec said the contract builds on its experience with automated container terminal projects and the integration of terminal software with automated equipment.
The company has also supplied OPUS Terminal to international port projects.
These include the expansion of the semi-automated TTI Algeciras terminal in Spain and Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait.
CyberLogitec plans to use its automation experience to further expand its presence in South Korea and the international smart port market.
