Smyril Line takes delivery of new Ro-Ro vessel Skipanes

Smyril Line has taken delivery of its new Ro-Ro freight vessel Skipanes.

The Chinese shipbuilder CIMC Raffles delivered the vessel to Smyril Line at its shipyard in Yantai, China.

Skipanes will strengthen the company’s freight services across the North Atlantic.

“We are very pleased to have taken delivery of Skipanes, which will strengthen our freight services in the North Atlantic,” said Jens Meinhard Rasmussen, CEO of Smyril Line.

“This marks a milestone in the company’s history and an important step in the development of our fleet,” he added.
