MacGregor opens new service hub in Trieste

MacGregor has opened a new service engineer hub in Trieste, Italy, expanding its service network in Europe.

The new hub opened on 1 September 2026. It will increase MacGregor’s engineering capacity and provide support for customers across the region.

MacGregor expects the facility to be fully operational by the end of 2026.

Trieste hub to support European customers

MacGregor selected Trieste after assessing several factors.

The company said the city offers a central location for customer support. It also provides access to skilled workers and is close to other key MacGregor service locations.

Recruitment of service engineers in Trieste has already started.

The hub will operate as a regional resource pool. Engineers will be deployed across MacGregor’s European service network when needed.

MacGregor increases service capacity

The facility will mainly support customers in Europe.

It will also provide resources for MacGregor’s specialised mega yacht business.

“The Trieste hub is designed to function as a regional resource pool, providing crucial capacity and flexibility across MacGregor’s service locations,” said Tomas Hakala, Executive Vice President, Global Services at MacGregor.

MacGregor said its existing service locations will continue operating as part of its wider global network.
