Maersk will reduce its waiting time allowance for local transport operations in Civitavecchia, Italy, from 1 October 2026.

The allowance will decrease from three hours to two hours, calculated from the truck’s arrival at the loading or unloading premises.

The revised limit will apply to both export and import shipments.

Any waiting period exceeding two hours will incur Maersk’s standard Waiting Time Origin or Waiting Time Destination charges, depending on the shipment direction.

Maersk said the adjustment will align its operations with standard local market practices in Civitavecchia.
