FESCO increased its container volumes by 22% in the first half of 2026, but the Russian transport group’s profits declined sharply.

The company handled 377,000 TEU, compared with 309,000 TEU during the same period last year.

FESCO’s liner logistics revenue also increased 8% to RUB 83.8 billion (US$1.1 billion).

International and domestic volumes grow

International container volumes increased 18% to 302,000 TEU.

This segment accounted for around 80% of FESCO’s total container volumes.

Domestic traffic recorded even stronger growth. Volumes increased 42% to 75,000 TEU, compared with 53,000 TEU a year earlier.

For comparison, FESCO handled 286,300 TEU during the first half of 2024.

Profit drops despite revenue growth

The stronger cargo volumes did not translate into higher earnings.

FESCO’s liner logistics segment result fell 60% to RUB 1.7 billion (US$21 million).

Meanwhile, consolidated group net profit across all activities dropped 95% to RUB 60 million (US$462,000).

The results show a sharp contrast between FESCO’s expanding container volumes and its weaker profitability during the first six months of 2026.
