Hai An launches direct Vietnam–India container service
Hai An Container Transport (HACT) will launch a new container shipping service connecting China, Vietnam, Malaysia and India.
The CVI service will expand Hai An’s international network and provide a direct transportation option between Vietnam and India.
The inaugural voyage will depart from Nansha, China, on 22 September 2026. The 1,781 TEU Haian Beta will operate the first sailing.
CVI service rotation
The service will follow this rotation:
Nansha – Hai Phong – Port Klang – Chennai
Hai An plans to operate one round voyage per month.
Samsara Shipping Private Limited will act as the company’s General Shipping Agent in India, supporting local operations and market development.
According to Hai An, CVI is the first direct service to India operated independently by a Vietnamese container shipping line.
Before launching the new service, HACT had established a presence in the Indian market through non-vessel-operating common carrier services connecting Vietnam with Chennai and Kolkata.
The addition of Nansha and Port Klang will also connect the service with two major Asian maritime and logistics hubs.

Fleet expansion supports international growth
Hai An currently operates 20 vessels and plans to expand its fleet through two newbuilding programmes.
The company expects to take delivery of four 3,000 TEU vessels in late 2027. Four additional vessels with capacities of 7,100 TEU are scheduled for delivery in 2028.
The investments support Hai An’s strategy to strengthen its position on regional routes and expand cargo connectivity between Vietnam and major Asian markets.
