CMA CGM adds NEOLINE wind-powered transatlantic service
NEOLINER ORIGIN

CMA CGM has expanded its low-carbon shipping offering through a partnership with NEOLINE and its first wind-powered cargo vessel, Neoliner Origin.

The service will provide a direct connection between North Europe and North America. It will accommodate dry, out-of-gauge and refrigerated cargo.

CMA CGM said the wind-powered vessel could reduce carbon dioxide emissions from ocean crossings by up to 90% compared with conventional ships.

Neoliner Origin port coverage

The transatlantic service will connect:

  • Zeebrugge, Belgium
  • Montoir-de-Bretagne, France
  • Baltimore, United States
  • Halifax, Canada

Neoliner Origin will make its maiden call at Zeebrugge on 21 September 2026.

Customers will be able to book shipments on the wind-powered service through CMA CGM’s digital platforms.
